Gruppo B&T at Tecna 2024: 20 new technological innovations on display at the fair

Never have there been so many highly innovative technology offerings designed to maximize productivity and reduce operating costs, with all the solutions on show focusing specifically on sustainability issues. Gruppo B&T will be showcasing its products at Rimini’s Tecna 2024 in grand style, with all its brands (SITI, Ancora, Projecta, Digital Design, Diatex, and Mec Abrasives) demonstrating an increasingly green approach and offerings designed to achieve maximum energy efficiency.

Occupying an entire hall (D7) in the IEG exhibition centre in Rimini, from 24 to 27 September, Gruppo B&T is set to confirm its position as a leading name in the industry for complete plant engineering solutions, from the preparation of raw materials to end-of-line packaging operations, and of course, the heart of production, i.e. full-body decoration, pressing, and firing. Focusing particularly on product aesthetics, the Group offers technology for high-end graphic design including digital printers and finishing, leveraging its comprehensive expertise to assist customers all around the world.

In addition to a propensity to innovate – reflected by the constant, intense R&D activities at the bt-Lab technology center in Formigine (Modena), the Group also offers a widespread worldwide presence and a customer service that guarantees after-sales assistance and a supply of spare parts, tools, treatments, and consumables.

More than 20 technologies will be showcased at Tecna 2024, resulting in an unprecedented number of innovations launched all together. Among the main innovations, SITI firing technology machines are particularly worthy of note, including a zero CO2 emission dryer and a hydrogen-powered Titanium H2 module; technologies for full-body decoration such as Venus, Lapis and Dune; the Lynx vision system for veining detection by Projecta; the Wizard and Magister sorting lines, and the LGVs for automatic product handling. The brightest star though, will no doubt be Supera® Rapida, the innovative pressing technology without mould. Offering a raw cutting process that allows advanced flexibility in terms of shapes and sizes, this technology is already installed in facilities located in over 10 countries.

Projecta will be elevating digital decoration to a new level with the Ikon Plus and Blaze printers and enhancing 3D textures with DryFix and DigiFix. Alongside its hugely popular Tornado technology, Ancora will be launching Vortex, a new turbo-polishing machine, which visitors will be able to see in person at the stand and through a demo at the bt-Lab, during the exhibition. Subsidiaries Diatex and Mec Abrasives will also be displaying their tools and treatments featuring technologies affiliated with the brand.

Another new feature is the bt-Green corner dedicated to sustainability issues, where a series of speakers will be exploring the green evolution of the ceramic industry (and beyond).

“We are confident that we will be coming to Tecna 2024 with the best technologies on the market –commented Fabio Tarozzi, Gruppo B&T’s Managing Director and Chairman– in terms of both productivity and sustainability, with special focus on savings. But our Research department is always investigating new opportunities and we are already working on the development of additional solutions, to renew the undisputed leadership of Italian technology in the global ceramic industry.”
