Nextrade for the first time as a Special Interest at Ambiente 2022

Numerous brand exhibitors at Ambiente use the diverse services of Nextrade, the B2B data and ordering platform. They benefit from the virtual extension of the fair and thus maintain their business relations 365 days a year. At Ambiente 2022, Nextrade will be special interest for the first time. Trade visitors will thus be able to find brands registered with Nextrade quickly and easily in the online exhibitor search, in the catalogue and in the exhibition halls. 

Phillip Ferger, Managing Director of nmedia GmbH and Vice President Consumer Goods Fairs, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, presents the Special Interest and other services of Nextrade in an interview. 

Mr Ferger, at the coming Ambiente, the brands that have registered on Nextrade will be marked at the stand, in the catalogue and in the exhibitor search. What are the advantages for trade visitors of this special interest? 

Philipp Ferger: At Ambiente in Frankfurt, our trade visitors finally have the opportunity again to experience all the products haptically and to exchange ideas with the manufacturers face-to-face. Here on site you will find a global overview of what the industry has to offer for their new ranges. The B2B platform Nextrade extends the trade fair experience and is available to registered brands and retailers 365 days a year. Our trade visitors can immediately recognise who is at Nextrade, there will be a Nextrade stand identification for the first time at the 2022 event. This means that retailers can browse the stand at their leisure and then contact the exhibitor directly via Nextrade to place their order. This leaves more time for discovering the range and actively designing the assortment directly at the trade fair.

What other options do trade visitors have to find the Nextrade brands? 

Philipp Ferger: Trade visitors usually prepare their visit to the fair at home. Our exhibitor search and the Navigator App play an important role here. There they will find all the exhibitors who will be at Ambiente and, from the beginning of January, they can use the new special-interest function to filter the manufacturers who are registered with Nextrade. The special feature is that there is a direct link to the exhibitor’s Nextrade shop in the exhibitor search. 

How can interested brands and retailers find out about Nextrade? 

Philipp Ferger: Ambiente 2022 also offers numerous opportunities for this. For example, in the daily presentations by my colleagues Claus Tormöhlen and Stefan Mauruschat from nmedia GmbH, which operates Nextrade. The experts will present the digital platform daily at 1.15 pm (Sunday at 2.15 pm) in the Ambiente Academy, Hall 9.0 Stand E80. 

How many retailers and brands are currently registered at Nextrade? 

Philipp Ferger: Currently, 400 brands are listed, 10,000 traders are active and 400,000 products are available. The numbers are constantly increasing. Through our new cooperation agreement, which we concluded in November between nmedia with Nextrade, the EK/servicegroup and Messe Frankfurt, we can offer our customers even more service and more networking and reach even more brands and retailers. 

What does this cooperation entail? 

Philipp Ferger: With this cooperation, the three key players in B2B industry networking and purchasing have further expanded their competences in online marketplaces and content data services. Nextrade has become the joint platform of the three providers, which is a milestone in the development of a uniform industry standard with regard to the networking of trade and industry. The new platform offers all relevant product and company data in a uniform format, accessible via a wide variety of digital channels, such as EK-Online or Messe Frankfurt’s exhibitor search. 

The next Ambiente will take place from 11 to 15 February 2022.
