Gates (NYSE: GTES), the global, diversified industrial manufacturer of power transmission and fluid power solutions, is setting its sights on growth as it expands its operations in Wroclaw, Poland.
The company is leasing more commercial office space to cater for an increase in headcount as it develops its Gates Business Services Europe (GBSE) arm.
GBSE is responsible for many important business processes such as finance, IT, pricing, and HR. In 2022 the focus has been on establishing customer experience, business analytics and legal functions. The enterprise is also home to the Centre of Excellence, a unit dedicated to continuous improvement, change management and business transformation.
Talking about the new office space, Anna Duvialard, Managing Director, Business Services Center Europe, says: “We welcome this opportunity to further establish our business in Wroclaw, a city which has been very welcoming from the outset. These are very exciting times for GBSE, and the new office space is a symbol of that. As a team we are growing as our business remit becomes bigger and more strategic. Gates is becoming a key employer of the Lower Silesia region in Poland. Not only does it operate from Wroclaw, but it also has a manufacturing and distribution hub in the neighbouring town of Legnica.
To celebrate the office expansion, Gates is holding a ribbon-cutting event on the 9th September, to which it has invited the Vice Mayor, Jakub Mazur, ABSL Vice President, Maciej Borkowski and other local business representatives. Gates CMO, Tom Pitstick and Gates EMEA President, Josef Parzhuber, will also be in attendance.
