Sacmi RobotGlaze technology has been installed at Hornberg, Germany, at the headquarters of the Duravit Group, multinational leading manufacturer of quality design sanitaryware. Sacmi, which is a long-standing partner of Duravit at all its main bases around the world, has recently supplied the German parent company with a Gaiotto GA2000 robot for its glazing line which is already running successfully at full capacity.
The robot supplied is equipped with all the distinctive Sacmi-Gaiotto solutions, such as the MassControl® system which serves to control the glaze flowrate optimizing robot trajectories and reducing glaze consumption.
The robot has already reached full operating capacity, within the existing glazing line at Hornberg, in just a few weeks, without any production slow-down or interference with normal operations. This excellent result was achieved through offline programming of the glazing programs inside the test cell carried out thanks to close cooperation between Sacmi and the customer’s technical teams.
GA2000 is provided with the latest edition of the Sacmi Gaiotto-developed advanced software “SmartOffline NG” which, by creating a “digital twin of the glazing cell”, enables all robot tasks to be programmed offline in a simple, precise, and user-friendly way.
