Refratechnik Group has been expanding its business operations to meet the global requirements of customers. India is one of the fastest growing econ- omies in the world. The country is the second largest producer of steel and one of the largest producers of Aluminium metal. Refratechnik has been sup- plying its high quality products to its customers in cement, steel, and non- ferrous sectors for the last 30 years sourcing from its various manufacturing locations all over the world.
To meet the government of India call “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (Self – reliance India) and to meet the requirement in a more strategic and structured way- to cut down the lead times, to be in proximity advantage to the customers, Refratechnik group invested +30 € Million in India in a logical strategic loca- tion on eastern part of India- , Andhra Pradesh/ Visakhapatnam. It has put up a state of the art greenfield plant to produce MACARBON®, Magnesia Car- bon refractories to meet the demands of steel customers and high alumina monolithic plant to meet the requirement of steel, cement and non-ferrous industrial customers.
The plant generates employment of more than 300 people in short run and plus 400 people in the long run. This is the beginning of Refratechnik
group’s plans for its future expansion and strengthening of its base in India. This would not only help our esteemed customers in India but also our cus- tomers in South East Asia, near Middle East in cutting down lead times.
