Two interesting publications on the sector have been recently issued. On one hand let’s introduce a new edition (already no 11) of World Production and Consumption of Ceramic Tiles. It is the latest edition of the comprehensive analysis of the world ceramics industry (porcelain, tile, export & import, shares, with more than 100 countries analysed).
Regarding its content these items should be highlighted:
Tile production. In 2022, the world ceramic tile market registered a -9.7% decrease in total production
Import/Export. Global import-export flowed back to 2020 levels (8 billion sqm, -8% on 2021)
Price & Business. Tile prices on the rise with Italy at the top (with an average price of 16.5 EUR/sqm)
Porcelain Tiles. Porcelain tiles represented 3% of total ceramic tile exports in volume (1.5 billion sqm)
