Kosta Boda’s Pavilion Collection Earns Second Major Design Award

Kosta Boda is thrilled to announce that its Pavilion vase collection, designed by the celebrated design duo Front, has been honored with the Red Dot Award 2024. This esteemed accolade, which recognizes high design quality, follows closely on the heels of the Pavilion series winning the iF Design Award 2024 earlier this year.

The Red Dot Award is recognized worldwide as a mark of outstanding design, judged by an international jury of experts who evaluate each product on a range of criteria, including innovation, aesthetics, functionality, and quality. Pavilion’s recognition in this prestigious competition affirms the collection’s status as a upcoming design icon in the world of contemporary crystal glassware.

Pavilion is a vibrant collection of vases that combines the timeless beauty of glass with modern design elements. Characterized by bold colors and geometric patterns, Pavilion reflects Kosta Boda’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of glass artistry while staying true to its traditional Swedish roots.

“Pavilion should be an inspiration to embrace creativity – an invitation for people to be playful with their flower arrangements, says Anna Lindgren of Front. “It was especially inspiring to research the right sizes and shapes for different types of flowers. We wanted the vases to be all encompassing, bringing out the beauty in all arrangements, from tall magnificent flowers to tree branches, a wide bouquet, the solitary flower, the petite first spring blossom to the perfect shape for tulips. The different shapes and colors are particularly strong as a composition. Like a set of lighthearted individuals united by a strong family bond.”
