ZIA has announced the launch of cash grants of up to US$50,000 for groundbreaking research at universities and top research centres worldwide. The Association is keen to fund innovative projects that push the boundaries of research in the fields of zircon, zirconia, zirconium and other Zr-based derivatives.
Applications and areas of interest include:
· Ceramic tiles and other ceramics
· Refractories
· Foundry & Investment casting
· Fused zirconia
· Chemicals.
A Call for Research Proposals was recently sent to scientists who have previously partnered with ZIA, but the Association is also casting the net wider to all researchers and institutions working in these areas. The deadline to apply via the online proposal form (www.forms.zircon-association.org) is 30 November 2024.
Updates on successful bids will be available on the ZIA website over the coming months.
