HOB Certec was established in 1995 as a start up and Czech-German joint-venture company in Horni Briza, Pilsen, in the traditional area with a historical ceramic and porcelain production and kaolin mining.
Since its beginning HOB Certec lived a constant and significant growth, not just in terms of turnover, mainly in the last 10 years continously investing in new machinery and R&D, introducing many new innovative roller types into the ceramic market.
The HOB Certec production facility is unique in its kind, using the most efficient method for the production, based on the constant improvement of the work processes as Kaizen and Refa. HOB Certec is certified by ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015.
HOB Certec has improved its position throughout the years with the sales net in all the most important ceramic markets. In 2023 it opened a new distribution center for US market in the state of Delaware, in order to be more flexible with overseas deliveries for US clients.
After almost 30 years of its existence HOB Certec became in 2023 the largest European supplier, producing 100% of all the rollers in Czech facility in Horni Briza, close to Pilsen, currently offering a wide range of the hypertechnical ceramic rollers with the largest offer of special rollers for a specific purpose, improving the tile production and offering the highly qualified technical consultation. HOB Certec supplies the best technical solution for each single client and a specific dotation of each kiln based on the client´s requirements.
The range of the rollers consists of standard rollers, hypertechnical rollers and the USP products (unique selling proposition), the only types with a very specific technical parameters as a completely dense massbody -Hyperroll Dense and zero porosity or highest modulus of elasticity ever achieved (200 GPa instead of max 120 GPa available)- Hyperroll XT in the production of ceramic corundum-mullite rollers.
HOB Certec is the only roller producer having a wide range of special products as 4 roller types for rapid cooling zone as Superringroll – the roller with rings, allowing the circulation of cold air below the tiles bottom and improving the cooling procedure of the tiles, as well as RCZ, GR and RCX.
HOB Certec offers also Correctorroll – the roller used for the correction of uneven tiles transport trajectory, each of these roller type is tailor-made, ground by diamond discs, able to provide any shape of the roller for the need of each single client and offer the unique solution for better tiles transport.
In 2025 HOB Certec expects the improvement of the tile market and will focus in next years on further improvement of the products, following the needs of the ceramic market.
