Sutton reborn in record time: a comprehensive renovation in seven weeks driven by re-engineering and innovation
The iconic Barcelona nightclub Sutton, recently recognized as number 12 in The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2025 list, has completed its comprehensive renovation in an unprecedented time of seven weeks and five days, beating the initial target deadline.

This achievement was made possible thanks to the re-engineering and construction process strategy led by the company ConstruNext. Faced with the timeline and budget issues of the original plan, ConstruNext reformulated the project entirely between January and April 2025, focusing on efficiency and precision.
The project execution, which began on August 4th and was delivered on September 26th, involved a total transformation (complete demolition, renovation of all installations, coatings, and lighting) and allowed Sutton to reopen on a weekend, optimizing its revenue and minimizing losses.

The central element of the new interior design (by Daniel Poch of DPoch Studio) is the curved furniture. The key to speed and precision was the 3D concrete prefabrication of these pieces, a decision that reduced risks compared to traditional construction and allowed for the overlap and parallel construction of tasks in different workshops.
ConstruNext applied an advanced methodology combining Design Thinking, Lean Construction, and Agile, which not only accelerated timelines but also secured the final price, with a deviation of only 1.5% from the approved budget.
The result is a renovated, immersive, and technically impeccable club that consolidates Sutton’s leadership in the global nightlife scene.
