A finales de noviembre la sede de ASCER acogió la reunión del jurado de los XXIV Premios Cerámica de Arquitectura, Interiorismo y TFM. El jurado estuvo presidido por el arquitecto Julio Touza (Touza Arquitectos), junto con los vocales Martín Lejarraga, Carmen Baselga, Antonio Jesús Luna (ROOM Diseño) y Susana Babiloni (CTAC).
Los galardones reconocen las mejores obras de arquitectura, interiorismo y proyectos de final de máster que incorporan cerámica española. Esta edición incorpora por primera vez subcategorías en Arquitectura e Interiorismo, reflejando la diversidad de tipologías cerámicas.
Los Premios Cerámica cuentan con una dotación económica de 8.000 euros para cada una de las cuatro subcategorías profesionales de Arquitectura (A-a, A-b) e Interiorismo (I-a, I-b), y de 3.000 euros para el premio en la categoría de TFM dirigida a estudiantes de arquitectura. Los Premios Cerámica cuentan con el patrocinio de Valenciaport y el apoyo de la Conselleria de Hacienda y Economía de la Generalitat Valenciana, en el marco del convenio suscrito.
Los proyectos reconocidos en esta edición reflejan la amplitud y versatilidad del material cerámico en la práctica contemporánea. Entre los premiados encontramos propuestas que abarcan desde la vivienda modular industrializada, pasando por intervenciones de restauración patrimonial de gran sensibilidad, hasta interiorismos creativos y expresivos en espacios residenciales, hoteleros o de uso comercial.

In late November, the ASCER headquarters hosted the meeting of the jury for the 24th Ceramic Awards for Architecture, Interior Design, and Final Master’s Projects (TFM). The jury was chaired by architect Julio Touza (Touza Arquitectos), along with members Martín Lejarraga, Carmen Baselga, Antonio Jesús Luna (ROOM Diseño), and Susana Babiloni (CTAC).
The awards recognize the best works of architecture, interior design, and final master’s projects that incorporate Spanish ceramics. This edition incorporates subcategories in Architecture and Interior Design for the first time, reflecting the diversity of ceramic typologies.
The Ceramic Awards provide an economic endowment of 8,000 euros for each of the four professional subcategories in Architecture (A-a, A-b) and Interior Design (I-a, I-b), and 3,000 euros for the award in the TFM category aimed at architecture students. The Ceramic Awards are sponsored by Valenciaport and supported by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Valencian Government, within the framework of the signed agreement.
The recognized projects in this edition reflect the breadth and versatility of ceramic material in contemporary practice. Among the winners are proposals ranging from industrialized modular housing and highly sensitive heritage restoration interventions, to creative and expressive interior designs in residential, hotel, or commercial spaces.

– “Casa Marratxí” – Casas inHAUS
El jurado valora la acertada integración entre cerámica y sistema constructivo industrializado, donde un único material, empleado tanto en exteriores como en interiores y en formatos estándar, refuerza con claridad el concepto de vivienda modular. La composición volumétrica y la presencia continua de la cerámica realzan la arquitectura y evidencian la idoneidad del material en procesos de prefabricación.
– “Casa Marratxí” – Casas inHAUS
The jury valued the successful integration between ceramics and the industrialized construction system, where a single material, used both outdoors and indoors and in standard formats, clearly reinforces the concept of modular housing. The volumetric composition and the continuous presence of ceramics enhance the architecture and demonstrate the suitability of the material for prefabrication processes.

– “Intervenciones en el Monasterio de Santa María de Sijena” – Pemán y Franco
Arquitectos / Sebastián Arquitectos
Del proyecto, el jurado destaca la elegancia de lo silencioso y el cuidado enfoque en la intervención de restauración, respetando y realzando el conjunto existente. La sutileza del pavimento cerámico utilizado — con piezas triangulares colocadas con intencionada naturalidad y separado sutilmente de los muros—está al servicio de la belleza del monasterio, logrando aportar autenticidad y carácter propio al espacio.
– “Interventions in the Monastery of Santa María de Sijena” – Pemán y Franco Arquitectos / Sebastián Arquitectos
Regarding the project, the jury highlighted the elegance of silence and the careful approach to the restoration intervention, respecting and enhancing the existing complex. The subtlety of the ceramic paving used — with triangular pieces intentionally and naturally placed and subtly separated from the walls — serves the beauty of the monastery, successfully providing authenticity and its own character to the space.

– “Pabellón Ferrobús” – EOVASTUDIO
El jurado destaca la versatilidad con la que la cerámica se emplea en la celosía de fachada, mediante lamas de gres extrusionado de gran formato que aportan identidad y expresividad a una tipología de edificio industrial. La pieza cerámica combina valor estético y eficiencia térmica, demostrando la capacidad del material para generar soluciones únicas que dan a la arquitectura una nueva capacidad expresiva.
– “Pabellón Ferrobús” – EOVASTUDIO The jury highlighted the versatility with which ceramics are used in the facade lattice, through large-format extruded stoneware slats that bring identity and expressiveness to an industrial building typology. The ceramic piece combines aesthetic value and thermal efficiency, demonstrating the material’s ability to generate unique solutions that give architecture a new expressive capacity.

– “El Camino de la Almazara” – CARPE STUDIO / Miguel Hernández Alonso – Piano Piano Studio
El jurado valora un proyecto profundamente arraigado al territorio, donde la cerámica —concebida como “tierra en la tierra”— refuerza la unión entre arquitectura y paisaje. Su integración en paseos, bancos y detalles del espacio exterior revela una intervención de gran belleza y mimetismo, ejecutada con sensibilidad, humildad y un profundo respeto hacia la naturaleza.
– “El Camino de la Almazara” – CARPE STUDIO / Miguel Hernández Alonso – Piano Piano Studio The jury valued a project deeply rooted in the territory, where ceramics — conceived as “earth in the earth” — strengthens the union between architecture and landscape. Its integration into walkways, benches, and details of the exterior space reveals an intervention of great beauty and mimicry, executed with sensitivity, humility, and a deep respect for nature.

– “Brickell Penthouse Miami” – François Guglielmina – TOGU Miami Design
El jurado destaca la estética neo-pop del proyecto, inspirada en un estilo urbano americano, así como la calidad y sofisticación alcanzadas en este espectacular penthouse. La luz natural se incorpora como un material más, dialogando con la cerámica de gran formato, cuyo carácter mineral potencia la luminosidad del espacio. Una propuesta dinámica y elegante donde la cerámica se consolida como protagonista.
– “Brickell Penthouse Miami” – François Guglielmina – TOGU Miami Design
The jury highlighted the project’s neo-pop aesthetic, inspired by an American urban style, as well as the quality and sophistication achieved in this spectacular penthouse. Natural light is incorporated as an additional material, interacting with the large-format ceramics, whose mineral character enhances the luminosity of the space. A dynamic and elegant proposal where ceramics are established as the protagonist.

– “Boc Beach” – Il Mio Design
El jurado destaca el enfoque creativo del proyecto y su audaz uso de colores y texturas cerámicas. La combinación ejemplar de distintos formatos aporta identidad y coherencia, integrando interior y exterior con dinamismo. Su fuerza radica en un exceso expresivo —de marcado carácter “rock and roll” sesentero— donde la cerámica adquiere un protagonismo decisivo y el color una indudable fuerza presencial.

The jury highlighted the project’s creative focus and its bold use of ceramic colors and textures. The exemplary combination of different formats provides identity and coherence, integrating interior and exterior with dynamism. Its strength lies in an expressive excess — with a marked sixties “rock and roll” character — where ceramics take on a decisive role and color possesses an undeniable presence.

– “Hotel Kimpton Los Monteros” – El Equipo Creativo
El jurado destaca la creación de un espacio amable, fresco y atractivo, donde el singular pavimento —atrevido en su combinación de piezas y dibujos— logra un resultado coherente y equilibrado. Se valora asimismo la acertada intervención en este hotel legendario, que recupera, mediante una cerámica elegante, la esencia que le situó desde sus orígenes entre los más elegantes de España.
– “Hotel Kimpton Los Monteros” – El Equipo Creativo The jury highlighted the creation of a friendly, fresh, and attractive space, where the unique paving — daring in its combination of pieces and patterns — achieves a coherent and balanced result. The successful intervention in this legendary hotel was also valued, which, through elegant ceramics, recovers the essence that positioned it among the most elegant in Spain since its origins.

– “Lapis Domus” – RUIZVELAZQUEZ STUDIO
El jurado destaca el carácter excepcional de este showroom, donde el material expuesto se aleja de los códigos convencionales y se presenta en una puesta en escena de gran fuerza poética. Las formas geométricas audaces y el juego cromático confieren al espacio un aire casi museístico, convirtiéndolo en una experiencia sensorial que amplifica la presencia del producto. Se valora asimismo la equilibrada combinación de arquitectura, interiorismo y emoción, que realza con acierto la cerámica hasta situarla en un nivel de máxima expresión.
– “Lapis Domus” – RUIZVELAZQUEZ STUDIO The jury highlighted the exceptional nature of this showroom, where the displayed material moves away from conventional codes and is presented in a staging of great poetic force. The bold geometric shapes and the chromatic play lend the space an almost museum-like air, turning it into a sensory experience that amplifies the product’s presence. The balanced combination of architecture, interior design, and emotion was also valued, which successfully enhances the ceramics to a level of maximum expression.

– “Hipotels Don Juan” – Il Mio Design
El jurado destaca la esmerada intervención, capaz de conservar el carácter original del hotel mientras introduce con acierto una paleta atrevida y colorista de cerámicas que refuerza su identidad histórica. Se valora especialmente el buen uso de distintas texturas, formatos y tipologías cerámicas, aplicadas con sensibilidad y coherencia.
– “Hipotels Don Juan” – Il Mio Design The jury highlighted the meticulous intervention, capable of preserving the hotel’s original character while successfully introducing a bold and colorful palette of ceramics that reinforces its historical identity. The good use of different ceramic textures, formats, and typologies, applied with sensitivity and coherence, was especially valued.

– “Manos Cerámicas” – Manuel Alexander Fustamante Mori (Universidad CEU San Pablo (Madrid)
El jurado destaca que el proyecto constituye un auténtico homenaje a la cerámica, en un amplio sentido, entendida en toda su amplitud y vinculada de forma profunda a la tradición local. La propuesta demuestra una comprensión del proceso cerámico, utilizándolo como elemento articulador del espacio y como hilo conductor de un recorrido que recupera y revitaliza los vacíos y ruinas del pueblo de Los Loros, en La Gomera. Se valora especialmente el cuidado estudio de composiciones y patrones, capaces de generar ambientes dinámicos, así como el respeto de la arquitectura tradicional, concatenando talleres de artesanos donde la cerámica es protagonista.
– “Manos Cerámicas” – Manuel Alexander Fustamante Mori (CEU San Pablo University (Madrid))
The jury highlighted that the project constitutes a true tribute to ceramics in a broad sense, understood in its full scope and deeply linked to local tradition. The proposal demonstrates an understanding of the ceramic process, using it as an articulating element of the space and as the common thread for a route that recovers and revitalizes the voids and ruins of the town of Los Loros, in La Gomera. The careful study of compositions and patterns, capable of generating dynamic environments, was especially valued, as well as the respect for traditional architecture, linking craftsmen’s workshops where ceramics are the protagonist.

El jurado destaca el interesante y necesario discurso que sostiene la intervención, así como su carácter discreto y sereno, ejecutado con absoluto respeto al entorno y al medio natural. Una propuesta llena de lirismo y emoción, cuya sutileza potencia el paisaje.
– “Garoé” – Marta Morato Costa (ETSA Madrid)
The jury highlighted the interesting and necessary discourse that underpins the intervention, as well as its discreet and serene character, executed with absolute respect for the environment and the natural setting. A proposal full of lyricism and emotion, whose subtlety enhances the landscape.
