A new highly automated production facility has recently been inaugurated in one of Asia’s major markets. The plant was developed through a complete turnkey supply integrating the expertise and technologies of Gruppo B&T, particularly through its brands Siti, Ancora, Projecta, Digital Design and Diatex.
Designed according to the most advanced Industry 4.0 principles, the new facility combines high production capacity, maximum operational flexibility and efficient use of resources, with a strong focus on finished product quality and the sustainability of the manufacturing process.
With a production capacity of 25,000 m2/day, the plant spans two complete production lines covering the entire manufacturing cycle, from raw material dosing and preparation through to the final stages of sorting, storage and palletization of finished products.
The entire process is supervised by bt-Tutor, Gruppo B&T’s plant supervision system developed for the integrated management of production data. The system enables continuous monitoring of performance and increasingly efficient use of available resources.
Upstream, continuous grinding systems and latest-generation spray dryers ensure high productivity, consistent quality and optimized consumption. Forming is carried out by two Supera® mouldless pressing lines, designed for traditional formats and slabs up to 1,200 × 2,400 mm and 1,800 × 2,700 mm, respectively. The process is further supported by two new Titanium® kilns, developed to increase firing energy efficiency and contribute to reducing energy consumption and emissions.
A central role is played by Tornado technologies from Ancora and Blaze for formats up to 1,446 mm, together with Dryfix by Projecta, enabling the development of surfaces with outstanding aesthetic and performance characteristics. The design offering is further enhanced by Lapis, the technology for creating full-body veining.
Digital decoration solutions, 3D material-effect application, full-body decoration and finishing technologies make it possible to achieve highly design-oriented products while maintaining high standards of precision, repeatability and industrial productivity.
Automation also extends to the final stages of the production process, with Wizard® sorting systems, as well as handling, storage and palletization solutions.
The plant represents a synthesis of some of the most advanced technologies currently available for the ceramic industry and forms part of an innovation journey that has already received international recognition through the TecnAwards.
For Gruppo B&T, this project is further confirmation of the Group’s ability to export outstanding Italian technology to some of the world’s most dynamic markets. This vision and technological expertise was showcased by the Group at TECNA 2026, September 22 to 25 at the Rimini Expo Centre.
