FUNCtile: when ceramics start doing things
WOW Design presents FUNCtile, an innovative proposal that transforms the ceramic piece into a functional system capable of supporting, containing, hanging, and illuminating. Based on a common $12.5 \times 12.5$ cm grid, the system turns the wall into an active and configurable surface where accessories are not added afterwards, but rather conceived from the beginning as part of the ceramic itself.
The collection includes elements such as Shelf and Edge Shelf to create support surfaces, Hook for hanging without visible hardware, Pot for incorporating greenery or everyday objects, and Light for integrating direct lighting. Under the principle that form makes function possible, surface and object merge while maintaining visual continuity. Developed in eight shades linked to the Fayenza collection, FUNCtile deepens the firm’s research into small formats and modularity, ensuring that the wall is no longer just a background, but an equipped and versatile element for architecture and interior design.
